"Australian Bush Poetry Classics"
by Jack Drake
12 poems written
by Australia’s early Bush Poetry Masters and recited
by Jack in camp-fire style. Includes “The Man
from Snowy River”. This CD was the winner of the
2011 Golden Gumleaf Award for Album of the year.
The CD has been produced in accompaniment
with a Teacher's
Package designed to aid teachers in sharing this
unique style of literature in class. It contains the
CD, a DVD on tips for performance plus a Teacher's Book
of Notes with over 100 pages elaborating on the history
and explanations of the poems and their authors.
Australian Bush Poetry has re-surfaced
since our bi-centennial and the making of the movie
"The Man from Snowy River". Jack and other
modern Bush Poets perform regularly at festivals, breakfasts,
dinners and are particularly popular with the Grey Nomads.
